Rare first generation Charles and Ray Eames for Evans Products Company DCW (Dining Chair Wood) chair. A true collector’s gem this iconic chair in moulded walnut with graceful curves and continues to be collectible today. Originally designed in 1946 this chair highlights the beginning of the illustrious career of Charles and Ray Eames and is one of the earliest examples of their fine work dating 1946. The chair retains the original label under the seat denoting both the maker’s name as well as the distributor Herman Miller. The moulded back’s original oval shock mount is present and the 5 2 5 screw pattern confirms the authenticity and rarity of this chair
